Morris plum is a self-pollinated seedling of ‘Methley’. The reddish-black fruits (2”) ripen about a week before those of ‘Methley’. Morris Plum is self-infertile and must be planted with other Japanese plums and Japanese hybrids, as long as their bloom periods overlap.  Auburn Roadside, Auburn Rubrum, and Methley will be great pollinators for the Morris Plum.
